Is Tattoo Japan only for foreign visitors?
No. Whether you live in Japan or are visiting from overseas, everyone is welcome. We help all tattoo lovers use facilities more comfortably.
Is there a fee to use it?
No, using the site is completely free. We plan to offer paid options for facility owners (such as promotional listings) in the future, but the core features stay free for users.
Finding & using facilities
How can I search for facilities?
Filter by area, category, and tattoo policy (OK / Limited / NG). Each facility shows its own rules, so you can check before you visit.
What do 'Tattoo OK', 'Limited', and 'Tattoo NG' mean?
'Tattoo OK' means visible tattoos are allowed. 'Limited' means conditions apply, such as covering your tattoos. 'Tattoo NG' means entry is not permitted if you have tattoos.
How accurate is the information?
We strive for accuracy, but facility policies can change and listings may not always be current. If tattoo acceptance is important to your visit, we recommend confirming directly with the facility in advance.
Registering & editing information
Can I register or update facility information myself?
Yes. After signing up with a Google account or email verification, you can register and update facilities. Community contributions help keep the information fresh.
Can I suggest new facilities or report incorrect information?
Absolutely. After signing in, anyone can edit details via 'Edit Information' on each facility page. You can also add new facilities from 'Register Facility' in the menu or footer.
How do I update facility information?
Use 'Edit Information' on any facility detail page. You'll need to sign in (with Google or email verification) to make edits.
How do I request deletion of a facility?
To prevent abuse, deletions are handled by request. Use 'Request Deletion' on the facility detail page to submit the form. We review the reason and respond within 5 business days; some requests may be declined.
