Beaches in Fukui Prefecture (centered on Wakasa Bay) generally follow Kansai-area practices (e.g., Kobe Suma ordinance) of avoiding visible tattoos. Bathing is permitted if covered with a T-shirt or rash guard. On-site confirmation is recommended.

Get off at "Suisho-hama" stop on Fukutetsu bus (bound for Shiraki) from JR Tsuruga Station (note: regular bus service ended in 2024; community bus "Choisoko Mihama" requires reservation). About 30-min drive from Wakasa-Mihama IC on the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway.

Parking available (multiple lots along the coast, 1-min walk). Fees: 1,000 yen weekdays / 2,000 yen weekends and holidays.
