Public beach managed by a Kumamoto municipality (Amakusa, Kamiamakusa, Minamata, Ashikita, Reihoku, etc.). Kumamoto Prefecture has officially notified that there is no legal regulation prohibiting bathing for tattooed individuals. No tattoo prohibition ordinance for beaches has been confirmed. Generally tolerant as Amakusa Islands tourism region.
