About this studio
At Kibori Haru, all bokashi (both color bokashi and sumi bokashi) are done by hand. We are proud of our traditional Japanese hand carving, which has been handed down since ancient times, and we are especially confident in the density of sumi ink and depth of tints that can only be achieved by hand carving. One of the main characteristics of hand carving is that once completed, the hand carving does not fade easily even after a long period of time. At present, we use a machine for line carving and hand carving for bokashi (blurring). Although it is possible to do all carving by hand (total hand carving), hand carving of Suzuji is not suitable for expressing fine curves, and hand carving of Suzuji takes a long time. Since my style requires detailed and delicate expressions, I use a machine for the current style of Suzu-engraving and hand-engrave all the blurring. If you would like to have all hand-engraving, please consult with me.

- Large Japanese pattern・・・・・・・・1 10,000 yen per hour Continuation of the other place・・・・・・・・115,000 yen per hour We do not charge for the meeting and consultation itself, but we ask for a deposit once it is decided that we will engrave and draw a rough sketch according to the customer's size. We do not charge for the rough design we draw at the meeting and consultation. The deposit is 100,000 yen for the back and 50,000 yen for the arms. For others, we ask for a deposit of 30,000 yen. The designs for Haru's works are very detailed. In the case of a draft of the back, some of the detailed designs take more than 20 hours to draw. The deposit is to prevent the artist from being cold-shouldered. The deposit will be returned to you at the time of the final completion.Learn more
